

Mr. John Paul B. Iñigo, Vice Consul (Commercial) assigned at the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Guangzhou City, Guandong Province, visited Xiamen and paid a courtesy call on Consul General Julius Caesar A. Flores as well as with officials of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade-Xiamen Committee (CCPIT-Xiamen) on 14 February 2017.
The visit was an opportunity for The Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen and PTIC-Guangzhou to discuss various collaborative projects and activities for 2017 and beyond with the aim of enhancing economic cooperation between the Philippines and Fujian and Jiangxi Provinces.
Together with Consul General Flores, Mr. Iñigo also met with CCPIT-Xiamen Acting Chairman Yan Zhiping expressed appreciation for the visit to their office to further increase cooperation between Xiamen and the Philippines. He also expressed appreciation to the Consulate General for the support it extended to activities organized by CCPIT-Xiamen in the past. He is also hopeful that the renewed cooperation between the Consulate General and CCPIT-Xiamen will further strengthen partnership between the two parties and increase people-to-people contacts.
Acting Chairman Yan assured the Consulate General that CCPIT-Xiamen will extend its full support and cooperation in its future endeavors toward fulfilling enhanced economic cooperation between the Philippines and Xiamen. END
