

Ms. Lilian Albarico, of Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur made the Philippines proud again when she was awarded the Tengwengge Friendship Award in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, Peoples Republic of China.
Ms. Albarico currently works as a teacher at Nova Scotia Program, Sino-Canadian Department, Nanchang No. 2 High School, Nanchang City. The award is the highest honorary award for foreign expatriates in Nanchang City in recognition of their expertise in their fields of profession as well as their contribution to the social development of the City.
The Tengwengge Pavillion Friendship Award was established by the Nanchang City Municipal Government in 2005 and awarded bi-annually to Nanchang-based expatriates in recognition of their accomplishments and social and cultural contribution to the City.
Ms. Albarico was recognized for her contribution in the field of education and the only woman among the eight awardees this year. She is the first Filipino recipient of the award.
She arrived in Nanchang City in 2009 and has been teaching Chemistry, Physics and Math at No. 2. Nanchang High School for the past eight years.
This award is a testament of the Filipinos’ capacity to excel in their chosen profession as well as their good working habits, resilience and adaptability wherever they may be.
