Fujian Liaison Unit Director of the Government of the Hongkong Special Administrative Region of China Mr. Ricky Cheng called on CG Ma. Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena on 18 January 2024 and discussed common interests and possible areas of cooperation.
Director Cheng provided CG Mendoza-Oblena with a brief introduction into the nature and functions of the Fujian Liaison Unit of HK SAR under the “One Country, Two Systems” policy where Hongkong retains its own systems and way of life while being a part of the People’s Republic of China.
The two officials have agreed to forge closer cooperation and collaboration in future activities.
